UNEARTHED Miniature Roman Glass Bottle
1st–3rd Century CE
A vessel reduced to its essence. This miniature Roman glass bottle once held something precious—oil, scent, or a tincture to be touched with care. Its form is compact, upright, and enduring, shaped by time and softened by burial.
The rim is broken, as if the moment of its last use was frozen. The surface is matte, almost earthen, with just the faintest shimmer of iridescence where light still remembers it.
Unearthed in the Eastern Mediterranean
Approx. 6cm x 2cm / 2.5”x1”
Cylindrical form with rounded shoulder and narrow neck
Two thousand years old. Handle with care.
